A masked gang allegedly forced a couple in Solihull to transfer cryptocurrency and stole Rolex watches during a 45-minute ordeal.
Crimestoppers is offering up to £10,000 for information about a robbery in Solihull in which a masked gang allegedly threatened a pregnant woman and forced her husband to transfer cryptocurrency. West Midlands Police is investigating.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a robbery at a couple’s home in Smith’s Wood, Solihull.
The couple told the BBC that three masked men forced their way into the property after the pair returned home at about 17:20 on 13 December last year. The attackers allegedly demanded a cryptocurrency transfer, with instructions relayed by a fourth person on a video call.
The male victim said he was beaten and that the men threatened to kill his pregnant wife and their unborn child. Several Rolex watches were also taken, and the woman was threatened with a knife, according to West Midlands Police.
Police believe the attack may have been planned and targeted. The offenders are thought to be in their twenties and left in a vehicle believed to be a black BMW X3. Information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through its website.
