Verified facts: Evidence supplied by the Press Association reports that Zara Shaw, 16, Jackson Duke, 17, and Luke Etheridge, 16, died after a black Audi A3 entered the River Wear near Wearmouth Bridge in Sunderland. Police received reports shortly before 1.30pm on Tuesday that the car had left the road at Panns Bank. A 17-year-old boy who was also in the car reached safety with non-serious injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail pending further inquiries.
