A UN fact-finding mission has said US attacks on a school in Minab and a sports complex in Lamerd during the February 28 assault on Iran may constitute war crimes and violate international humanitarian law. The report cited more than 150 deaths, including about 120 children, in the Minab attack and called for independent investigations and accountability. The US has rejected the report’s findings, while legal experts stress that it does not automatically create criminal or state liability.
