Former foreign minister says no pressure or aggression can force the Iranian people to surrender
Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran’s people are its greatest strategic asset and argued that external pressure cannot force the country to surrender. His remarks were published on X, according to the Iranian Students’ News Agency.
TEHRAN — Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s former foreign minister, said the country’s people are its greatest strategic asset, beyond its geography and armed forces.
In a post on X, Zarif wrote that “millions” had attended a farewell ceremony for Iran’s leader, whom he said was killed alongside family members and 168 students in Minab. He described the killing as an act carried out by “the worst criminals.”
“No aggression or pressure can force this nation to surrender,” Zarif wrote.
