Iraq lifts flight restrictions over western regions

Iraq’s Transport Ministry says airspace in the country’s western regions has been returned to civilian aviation authorities, allowing non-military flights. The areas had been reserved for military operations since 2016 and 2017. Officials said the move will enable authorities to redraw air routes and create new civilian flight corridors.
