The soldiers were members of the Israeli army reserves, the report said. Israeli military assessments indicated that the bomb, attributed in the report to Hezbollah, was old and had been planted before the November 2024 ceasefire.
Following the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces remained at several positions in southern Lebanon despite an undertaking to withdraw, according to the report.
