Iran showcases medical plasma and radiopharmaceutical capabilities in Vienna
An event on the sidelines of the IAEA General Conference featured presentations by Iranian technology and isotope companies.
Iran presented medical plasma and radiopharmaceutical products, services, research findings and future plans at a side event of the IAEA’s 70th General Conference in Vienna. An exhibition of the country’s nuclear industry achievements was also held.
TEHRAN — The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran presented products and technical and engineering services in medical plasma and radiopharmaceuticals at a side event of the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
The event, titled “Presentation of Technical and Engineering Products and Services in Medical Plasma and Radiopharmaceuticals,” was held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the Austrian capital with participants from several countries.
Experts from Plasma Technology Development Company and Pars Isotope presented recent achievements, available services and clinical research results. They also outlined Pars Isotope’s radiopharmaceutical portfolio and the companies’ future plans.
According to the report, participants learned about Iran’s capabilities in these fields and praised the progress of Iranian specialists in the emerging scientific areas. Representatives of the Atomic Energy Organization also answered questions about Iran’s activities in nuclear science and technology.
An exhibition of Iran’s nuclear industry achievements was also opened on the sidelines of the conference. Specialists introduced visitors to the country’s capabilities in nuclear science and technology, including developments in plasma technology and diagnostic, therapeutic and palliative radiopharmaceuticals.
The IAEA’s 70th annual regular General Conference began in Vienna on Monday, Sept. 14, with the participation of the agency’s member states. Senior officials and representatives were expected to discuss issues related to the agency’s activities and budget and make decisions on them.
