Entain said it was “disappointed” by Brazil’s decision to prohibit sports betting and online casinos, and would comply with the provisional ban. The measure must secure congressional approval within 120 days to become permanent.
The Ladbrokes and Sportingbet owner said Brazil was expected to account for around 5% of its total online net gaming revenue this year. It now expects underlying earnings at the lower end of its £910 million to £960 million guidance.
