Press Association Scotland reported that Bruce Cameron Williams, 77, from New York state, received the silver plaid brooch from a distant relative during a 1983 visit to Inverness. Engraved with the initials “D.C.H.F.S.” and the date “1845”, the brooch also bears the inscription “To Jas. McPherson” and “for Pibrochs”.
