Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least four people overnight into Sunday, officials said, according to the Associated Press. A man was found dead after a Russian drone hit a non-residential building in Kyiv, while later strikes on the city’s outskirts killed one person and wounded at least five. A separate Russian attack in the Odesa region killed one person and injured two, local officials said.

The strikes came hours after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed German calls for Moscow to ease its escalation against Nato. Lavrov said Germany’s foreign minister, Johann Wadephul, had merely repeated Berlin’s position condemning Russia. A German delegation official said Wadephul expressed openness to improved relations but said this required Russia’s leadership to show a genuine willingness to end the war in Ukraine.

Separately, Ukraine’s president said a Russian strike on a Kyiv data centre injured two children and an adult. In Russian-occupied Enerhodar, a Ukrainian strike reportedly killed a civilian woman and injured two others, according to the Kremlin-installed mayor.
