Tehran – IRNA reports that a senior spokesperson for Iran's armed forces says the initiative in the Strait of Hormuz remains in the hands of Iran's armed forces. Sardar Abolfazl Shakarchi stated that CENTCOM commander's claims about escorting tankers and removing a billion barrels of oil over the past two months are not a real reflection of the situation but a failed psychological operation intended to bolster morale in the U.S. military in the region. He emphasized that the initiative in the Strait of Hormuz remains with Iran's armed forces.
