Lawsuits accuse federal officers and senior officials of wrongful death, conspiracy and excessive use of force
Renee Good’s family has sued the US government, an ICE officer and senior federal officials over her January killing in Minneapolis, alleging wrongful death, conspiracy and excessive force. Officials previously said the officer acted in self-defence.

Renee Good’s family filed two lawsuits on Thursday over her fatal shooting by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis on January 7. The suits accuse the US government, officer Jonathan Ross and senior federal officials of wrongful death, conspiracy and excessive use of force. Federal officials previously said Ross acted in self-defence. The Justice Department had not responded to a request for comment.
