Yemen’s Houthi-aligned armed forces have reportedly seized the Al-Aghbara mountain range in Lahij province, overlooking the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, according to Iran’s IRNA, which cited a Yemeni news outlet. Local sources said Saudi-backed Giants Brigades forces withdrew after an assault. The report said the move strengthens Houthi-aligned positions and surveillance capabilities around Bab al-Mandab and the western coast. The claims have not been independently verified.
