Washington Post: U.S. Iran war death toll may exceed Pentagon’s public figure

Six U.S. officials familiar with internal Defense Department data told The Washington Post that more American service members may have been killed in the war against Iran than the Pentagon has publicly reported. The identities, timing and circumstances of the additional deaths remain unclear, and the Pentagon did not respond to questions about the discrepancy.
