Sheikh Naim Qassem: Resistance Is the Only Way to Liberate the Land
Summary

Sheikh Naim Qassem says resistance is the sole path to liberate land, citing Lebanon’s experience as proof and urging continued resistance against US and Zionist aggression toward Iran and Palestine.

Tehran — IRNA reports that Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed that resistance is the only path to liberate the land, and that all other options are a waste of time. According to IRNA, citing Al-Manar, he spoke in a video message to the Conference of Martyr Resistance, held to mark the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Imamiyyah Students Organization in Pakistan. He asserted that confronting arrogance and the Zionist regime is only possible through resistance.

Qassem emphasized that the option of resistance, despite an imbalance of power, has proven its effectiveness in Lebanon. He noted that Lebanon’s experience with resistance demonstrates that it liberates land and people, defeats and humbles the Zionist enemy, and revives the Palestinian cause with renewed vitality.

He described the Palestinian issue as central and stressed that resistance in all its forms is essential. He added that resistance means rejecting the enemy and fighting when we can, each according to place and role.

On the war alleged by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, Qassem said the aggression aimed to topple the Islamic Republic but faced challenges, and even if it lasts longer, Iran has won. “Even if days or months pass, we are victorious because we persevered and prevented them from achieving their aims.” The Hezbollah leader also argued that, over time, the enemy’s weaknesses will inevitably appear and that the enemy will fall on the material plane; with resolve, determination, and steadfastness alongside its people, one can reach the desired outcome.
