Rosatom specialists to return to Iran for Bushehr maintenance
The Russian state nuclear corporation says the team will support scheduled work at the plant’s first unit.
Rosatom says up to 150 specialists will support scheduled maintenance and fuel-assembly replacement at Bushehr’s first unit.
Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said 47 specialists have returned to Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, with the number expected to rise to 150. Scheduled maintenance, including the replacement of fuel assemblies at the plant’s first unit, is due to begin in mid-September. Rosatom said replacement nuclear fuel has been delivered and that conditions at the plant are currently calm.
