Plasma Technology Cooperation Agreement Signed for Agricultural Applications
The agreement covers plasma treatment of seeds, water management, livestock farming and agricultural wastewater treatment.
Iran’s Plasma Technology Development Company and Razavi Agriculture Company signed an agreement to apply plasma technology to seed treatment, agricultural water management, livestock farming and wastewater treatment, with an initial plan covering 100 hectares.
Iran’s Plasma Technology Development Company and Razavi Agriculture Company have signed a cooperation agreement in the presence of Mohammad Eslami, vice president and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. Under the agreement, wheat, corn, rapeseed, barley and cumin seeds, as well as saffron bulbs, will be treated using plasma technology. The initial implementation phase will cover 100 hectares of Razavi Agriculture Company’s farmland. The parties will also explore plasma-activated water for pest management and agricultural productivity, livestock applications, and wastewater treatment and water recycling. Eslami said a pilot project conducted by Razavi Agriculture last year produced positive results, according to IRNA.
