Iranian Armed Forces parade canceled this year, official says
The decision was attributed to the country’s wartime conditions.
An Iranian official said this year’s Armed Forces parade will not take place because of wartime conditions. He was discussing plans for the 46th anniversary of Sacred Defense Week.
TEHRAN — The Armed Forces parade will not be held this year because of the wartime conditions, Brig. Gen. Bahman Kargar, head of the Central Headquarters for Commemorating National Defense and Resistance Occasions, said Saturday, according to IRNA.
Kargar made the announcement while outlining plans for the 46th anniversary of Iran’s Sacred Defense Week, which will be held under the slogan “Here I am, O Khamenei.”
