Iran Unveils Four Nuclear Industry Technology Achievements
Summary

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization unveiled three tokamak plasma diagnostic systems and commissioned a non-destructive testing laboratory during Government Week.

TEHRAN — Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization unveiled and commissioned four knowledge-based achievements during Government Week, in the presence of Vice President and organization head Mohammad Eslami and senior nuclear industry officials.

The projects include photoelectron, bolometry and charge-exchange systems for diagnosing tokamak plasma, as well as a non-destructive testing laboratory. The systems are designed to measure electron temperature, plasma power loss and ion temperature, respectively, and are intended for use in future tokamak energy-generation efforts.

The laboratory will provide testing, inspection, training and specialist qualification services for the nuclear industry and other sectors, using methods including visual, penetrant, magnetic-particle, ultrasonic, radiographic and eddy-current testing.
