Iran, Russia Discuss Nuclear Cooperation, Rosatom Chief Says

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed nuclear cooperation and the status of the Bushehr nuclear power plant during a meeting in Bishkek, Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev said. He added that Russia had submitted a draft intergovernmental agreement for building small nuclear power plants in Iran and would begin scheduled maintenance at Bushehr’s first unit in mid-September.
