Iran Power Minister Highlights Grid Expansion for Reliable Energy Supply
A new 63/20-kilovolt substation and double-circuit transmission line have entered service in Jahrom.
A 40 MVA substation and 10.6-kilometer transmission line in Jahrom have been commissioned with an investment of 275 billion tomans, according to officials.
Iran’s Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi said expanding transmission and sub-transmission networks is essential to ensuring a stable energy supply and supporting regional development. The Jahrom Four substation, with a capacity of 40 megavolt-amperes, and its 10.6-kilometer double-circuit transmission line were completed at a total cost of 275 billion tomans. Officials said the project will increase the Jahrom region’s power supply capacity and improve the reliability of electricity for consumers and new demand.
