Iran’s National Iranian Oil Company chief denied a reported oil-sale contract allegedly authorized by the oil minister and said the company follows established rules and regulatory oversight.
The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bord, has denied reports that the company signed an oil-sales contract with a person identified as “Aghayari” with the oil minister’s authorization. According to Iran’s Oil Ministry, Bord said the company conducts oil sales under established rules, procedures and oversight requirements. He also urged media outlets to follow relevant official channels when reporting on oil sales.
