Iran Calls U.S. IAEA Board Membership Inconsistent With Agency Statute

Iran’s delegation to the 70th IAEA General Conference called for the suspension of U.S. membership on the agency’s Board of Governors, arguing that Washington’s alleged attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities create a structural conflict of interest. The delegation rejected the U.S. appointment and said it should not be bound by the decision.
