Eslami says pressure cannot silence Iran’s faith-driven movement

TEHRAN — Iran’s Vice President and Atomic Energy Organization chief Mohammad Eslami said pressure and war could not silence what he described as a movement rooted in the Iranian people’s faith. Speaking at a funeral ceremony in Tehran, Eslami said the crowd’s attendance represented renewed allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and its slain leader, according to Iran’s IRNA news agency. He also said Iran would continue along the leader’s path and grow stronger.
