Wladimir Klitschko has filed an urgent petition in a Los Angeles County court seeking to become the temporary representative of his and Hayden Panettiere’s 11-year-old daughter’s estate, according to the Associated Press.

The filing says the move is intended to protect Kaya’s inheritance after Panettiere’s death. It cites property seized in a federal investigation, unauthorised access to Panettiere’s Los Angeles residence and missing valuables.

Klitschko’s lawyers filed the petition on Thursday, and it became publicly known on Monday when it was reported by TMZ. A hearing is scheduled for October 8.
