Arab League chief calls for global action against West Bank annexation plans
Nabil Fahmy urged coordinated Arab and international action against alleged Israeli plans to annex the West Bank during talks with Mahmoud Abbas.
Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy called for Arab and international efforts to block plans to annex the occupied West Bank during a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Fahmy condemned attempts to alter the geographic and demographic character of Palestinian territories and cited settlement expansion, displacement, land confiscation and restrictions on Palestinian cities as contributing to those plans, according to Iran’s IRNA news agency, citing Sada al-Balad.
