Ansarullah: Yemenis will not accept ceasefire without lifting blockade
Ansarullah says a ceasefire requires the lifting of the Saudi blockade, while citing Omani mediation and reported Saudi-Iranian contact.
A member of Yemen’s Ansarullah political bureau said the Yemeni people would not agree to a ceasefire unless Saudi Arabia lifts the blockade. Abdullah al-Naami said Oman is mediating between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and that information indicates Saudi Arabia has contacted Iran to mediate with Yemen. He also said Ansarullah is prepared to join any coalition formed to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine.
