Iran protests alleged exclusion from IAEA conference
Tehran says the move violated its rights as an agency member
Iran has protested an alleged restriction on its delegation’s participation in the IAEA conference and called for a ban on attacks against safeguarded nuclear facilities.
Iranian officials said they were prevented from attending the International Atomic Energy Agency’s 70th General Conference in Vienna. Iran’s envoy, Reza Najafi, called the alleged restriction a serious violation of the country’s rights and urged consideration of a proposal to ban attacks or threats against safeguarded nuclear facilities.
