Tehran – IRNA reported, citing Al-Rasheed TV, that the U.S. chargé d'affaires in Baghdad met with Iraqi Army Chief General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah. The discussions focused on developing military relations and cooperation between Baghdad and Washington, and on the importance of ongoing bilateral coordination to strengthen the capabilities of Iraq's armed forces and support security and stability in the country. The U.S. envoy also stressed Washington's willingness to continue cooperation and coordination with Iraqi military authorities to advance the two countries' shared interests.
