IRNA, citing NTv and the Manisa provincial governorship, reports a shooting occurred around 8 a.m. local time outside Inci Ozumz Technical and Vocational High School in Manisa’s Torgutlu district, injuring five people, including several students, with one victim in serious condition. Reuters added that the gunman fled the scene and that the motive remains unknown. The incident follows two deadly school shootings earlier this year; officials say security measures for the 2027-2026 school year will be tightened, including stricter checks on firearms.
