Tehran - IRNA reports Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem warned that a complete collapse of the Gaza truce and its related roadmap would stem from Israel's refusal to abide by the agreement and from intensified aggression against Gaza. He said Hamas is fully prepared to implement the roadmap agreed with the UN Special Coordination Committee for Gaza’s peace plan and has taken all necessary steps. Qassem emphasized the need to facilitate the entry of a technocratic committee into Gaza by all parties, especially the United States and the UN committee, to fulfill its duties to Gaza’s residents and begin deploying international forces in line with the truce and its roadmap. The report notes that the Israeli newspaper Haaretz had written that, ahead of elections, disagreements over Gaza’s future had increased and that Israeli officials reportedly refused to cooperate with the Gaza Peace Council.
