IRNA reports continued ceasefire breaches by Israeli forces in Gaza, with injuries reported and extensive drone activity described.
Tehran — IRNA — The Israeli army continued to violate the Gaza ceasefire on Thursday, firing on Palestinian areas, carrying out artillery shelling and demolitions, while conducting wide, low-altitude reconnaissance flights over large parts of the Gaza Strip, IRNA reported citing the Palestinian agency Shihab. In the latest incidents, a Palestinian woman was wounded by Israeli fire in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, and another Palestinian man was wounded by tank fire at the Al-Bureij refugee camp. Tanks were reported firing in surrounding southern areas, with drones overhead over Gaza City, Jabalia, Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya. Late last night, local sources said quadcopter drones dropped bags containing foul-smelling substances of unknown purpose. In the early hours, explosions in Gaza City were linked to demolitions by Israeli forces east of the city. Palestinian accounts say dozens of ceasefire violations have been recorded in recent days, including heavy gunfire and artillery shelling, especially in southern Gaza.
