Hamas warns of full collapse of Gaza ceasefire and its roadmap

Tehran, IRNA — Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem, reiterating the group’s full readiness to implement the roadmap agreed with the United Nations Special Coordination Committee on the Gaza peace plan, warned that the full collapse of the ceasefire and the roadmap linked to it would stem from the occupying regime’s refusal to adhere to the agreement and from escalation of aggression against the people of Gaza, as well as the alleged failure of the UN Special Coordination Committee and its representative Nikolay Miladinov to compel the occupiers to implement it. The Hamas spokesman stressed the need to facilitate the entry of the technocratic committee into the Gaza Strip by all sides, especially the United States and the UN Special Coordination Committee, to fulfill their responsibilities toward Gaza’s residents and to begin deploying international forces in accordance with the ceasefire and its related roadmap. Earlier, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz wrote that on the eve of the Israeli regime’s elections, disagreements about the future of the Gaza Strip have intensified and reports indicate Israeli officials’ refusal to cooperate with the “Gaza Peace Council.”
